The Grapevine is an online forum or messageboard.
The aim of the Grapevine is to provide a place where adults across Leicestershire and Rutland can share information, communicate with each other on topics of common interest and provide support to each other.
The Grapevine is aimed at older and disabled adults,
their family, friends and carers, but it can be used by anyone – from anywhere in the world!
Users
can log-on to discuss topics including news, sport, the arts or share jokes, poetry and recipes. Visitors
to the site can also talk about what it’s like to be getting older, to live with a disability and to
care for others.
You must register before you can start posting messages in The Grapevine, this helps to ensure that The Grapevine remains a secure and comfortable place for everyone to enjoy.
The Grapevine is run by Leicestershire CareOnLine, a team in the Adult Social Care Service at Leicestershire County Council, find out more about CareOnLine here.
CareOnLine have run a successful service for the people of Leicestershire since 2002, and it was these service users who suggested producing a discussion area on the CareOnLine website. After much discussion and development, The Grapevine was launched in September 2007.

At any one time, there are a huge variety of conversations going on
and you are bound to find something that interests you. But incase you don't, you can always start your
own topic!
