Yes, it has been 1 year since we launched the Grapevine chatroom (previously known as CareOnLine chatroom). Our first Grapeviners were Alpbach and Roger who started their first topic on Local Services under News and Sport. To date we have over 120 Grapeviners actively sharing stories, jokes, information and most of all building the ‘Grapevine Community’. A lot has changed since it was first launched, thanks to all of you Grapeviners. So keep those messages and suggestions coming in.
If you’ve enjoyed using The Grapevine thus far, why not think about becoming a moderator? It’s easy, fun and a great way to get involved. You don’t need any special qualifications, though it would help if you have a good grasp of the English language and a sense of humour! Almost anyone can join our team of already great moderators – all you need to do is contact us.
Being a moderator is about helping to keep the Grapevine in tiptop shape. It involves coming up with topics of conversation that will help keep the chat moving along at a constant pace, ideally you should be visiting The Grapevine at least once a week (but preferably much more often!). At the moment, we are only looking for regular Grapevine users to become moderators.
Being a moderator is much more than being a "hall monitor." Moderators are active members of The Grapevine community who are devoted to maintaining a safe, fair and fun space for everyone. You would also welcome new members and help them feel at ease. We want your help to be able to continue providing the excellent service that you currently find in The Grapevine.
