The Grapevine is missing you!
Since The Grapevine was launched, we now have 170 registered users. Of this number, some users visit and post messages regularly, which is of course fantastic!
However, we also have some registered users who do not use The Grapevine. So, we are now encouraging all our registered users to visit The Grapevine again and see how it has improved, become much more interesting and more easy to use.
We have a huge variety of topics and conversations to join in with, but if you don't see one you are interested in, then make your own! We also have a wide variety of people registered with many different interests, opinions, issues, advice and helpful tips. So come along and have a chat!
EmergencySMS - 999 Texts on trial
The EmergencySMS are trialling a service that lets deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired people in the UK send an SMS text message to the UK 999 service where it will be passed to the police, ambulance, fire rescue, or coastguard.
Simply by sending an SMS message to 999 you can call for help and the emergency services will be able to reply to you.
If this trial service is a success then the service will be launched during 2010.
