Provides specialist advice, support and information to patients with a diagnosis of cancer or other life limiting conditions. The nurses have specialist training in pain and symptom control as well as providing advice on many aspects of Palliative care.

LOROS, the Leicestershire & Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering, is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions (for example Motor Neurone Disease) and also patients with end stage heart, renal and respiratory failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. LOROS is a local charity run by local people for the benefit of local patients and their families. Almost 2,500 patients access our services each year and the demand on our services continually grows. (Care in the home has increased by almost 60% in the last 5 years)
