How to use Browsealoud
If you have poor vision or have difficulty reading you can make your computer read the CareOnLine pages to you by pointing to the text with your mouse, helping you to find the information you need more easily. To do this you will first need to download some free software onto your computer called Browsealoud.
Click on the Browsealoud image above or follow this link, Go to Browsealoud (opens new window).
This will take you to the Browsealoud website. Follow the instructions to download Browsealoud. This may take about 15 minutes.
Once you have Browsealoud on your computer the blue circular Browsealoud symbol will be displayed on your task bar, bottom right corner. Right click on the symbol to open the Browsealoud Control Panel Settings. You can change the Browsealoud features to your own requirements.
Browsealoud features include:
- Text being read can be highlighted.
- Control of voice, tone (pitch) and speed.
- Option for continuous text reading.
- Listen to other Browsealoud enabled websites.
