Comedy Therapy sessions increase self-confidence, boost self-esteem, improve memory & concentration, de-stress, motivate and have fun with peers. The sessions involve a combination of laughter yoga exercises, improvised comedy games and goal-setting for the future. The sessions are run by comic Ishi Khan-Jackson. Ishi is a professional comedienne, drawing on her experience as a public speaker, an accredited life coach, a reiki master, a seichem master. Amicus is a small social activity group for single, separated, Widow(ers) and divorced people. Weekly activities to ensure and active social life. ie. The Society has been set up to promote Amateur Radio as a hobby and to help educate people about the different modes of wireless communications with safety being a main priority. The Society also aims to educate people about the invaluable work that was carried out at Beaumanor Park during WW2. We also give talks and lectures on many interesting subjects. Meetings are held around the East Midlands. During winter some practical conservation work is undertaken. During summer outdoor field meetings are held. We attend exhibitions and engage in fundraising to help nature reserves. We also record the status and distribution of butterflies.
